Dodick Laser PhotoLysis System
The Dodick Laser PhotoLysis System was the first laser device to be approved in the United States for the removal of cataracts. We are proud to have this laser technology to assist our patients in the treatment of their cataracts.
We at Monnett Eye and Surgery Center feel that using state-of-the-art technology is an important factor in your healthcare considerations. These technologies provide us with the tools necessary to treat our patient in the most efficient, effective ways possible.
The Dodick Laser PhotoLysis System generates ultra-short pulses delivered through an optical fiber into a specially designed tip. The shock wave energy is used to break up and remove cataracts. Since there is no heat at the probe, there is no significant risk of thermal damage.
Using the Dodick Laser PhotoLysis System, cataract patients can be treated easier with faster recovery.
